Grievance workflow tracking

Track the NALC grievance process from Informal Step A to DRT

GrieveTrac keeps grievance status, deadlines, representatives, PS Form 8190 materials, case files, decisions, and outcomes connected from intake through Formal Step A, Step B / DRT, arbitration, and closure.

GrieveTrac is independent software and is not affiliated with or endorsed by NALC or USPS. This page describes what the software records; branches should follow current official agreements and guidance for procedure and deadlines.

Grievance process questions

Informal Step A, Formal Step A, and DRT FAQ

Can GrieveTrac track Informal Step A and Formal Step A separately?

Yes. The system keeps distinct dates, representatives, meeting activity, notes, dispositions, and files for Informal Step A and Formal Step A so the branch can see the record for each stage.

What Step B or DRT information can stay with a grievance?

A grievance can keep its DRT number, DRT team names, forwarded and received dates, meeting and decision dates, merit status, remand, hold, impasse, disposition, and return information together.

Can GrieveTrac show grievance status and overdue work?

Yes. Status, key dates, reminder activity, open and overdue views, representatives, and next-step information can remain visible alongside the grievance record.

Does GrieveTrac replace official NALC or USPS guidance?

No. GrieveTrac is independent case-management software, not an official NALC or USPS website. Branches should use their current agreement, official materials, and authorized representatives for procedural guidance.
